Transavia

Information

Transavia is an airline company founded at the end of 1965 under the name of Transavia Limburg S.A., it was based at Maastricht-Aachen Airport. On , the Ministry of Transport granted permission to perform charter flights from the Beek and Zestienhoven airports. In the spring of 1966, all shares were taken over by the American Boreas Corporation of Florida, which appointed John Block as CEO in June 1966. Block was also a member of Martinair Holland and later founded Air Holland.
