By using taxis from Marrakech Menara Airport, you can easily get to your destination. There are two different types of taxis, small taxis and big taxis, each designed to meet specific needs.
It’s important to understand this difference because if you’re traveling outside the city, you’ll need to take a big taxi instead of a small taxi.
Taxi fares in Marrakech
Taxi pricing in Marrakech is regulated by a fixed rate based on the destination and size of the taxi.
small taxis have a fixed rate of 70 Dirhams for the city and 100 Dirhams for Palmeraie during the day, and at night (from 9 pm in summer and 8 pm in winter until 6 am), the rate increases to 105 Dirhams for the city and 150 Dirhams for Palmeraie.
For grand taxis, the fare is almost double that of small taxis. The fare is indicated at the top of the stairs in front of the taxi station at the airport.

When traveling within the city, the fare is determined by a meter (with a minimum fare of 7 Dirhams). Taxis tend to say that the meter is broken, but know that if it were truly the case, they wouldn’t be allowed to operate. So be polite but firm and always ask for the meter to be turned on when you get into a taxi. The fare typically ranges from 10 to 25 Dirhams.

Multiple clients
In Marrakech, taxis can take multiple passengers who are heading in the same direction. So it’s not uncommon to see your taxi stop to pick up an additional person during your journey. This is a common practice for taxis and it helps to maximize their efficiency and reduce costs for passengers. However, if you prefer not to share your taxi with other people, you can inform the driver in advance or opt for a private ride.
