Marrakech Airport taxis: plan your journey

Before choosing a taxi at Marrakech Menara Airport, specify your destination, the number of passengers and the luggage you need to carry.

Ask which vehicle is suitable for the journey, especially for a destination outside Marrakech, and confirm the total fare before setting off.

Plan your taxi journey

Compare the quoted price for your destination and ask what it includes: any supplements, luggage, night travel and waiting time. For a metered journey, clarify how the meter will be used before departure.

Give the driver a usable address

Keep your accommodation name, address and contact details ready. For the medina, ask your riad for a vehicle-accessible drop-off point and directions for the final walk. An address or landmark saved offline helps if your phone has no connection on arrival.

Confirm the journey before leaving

You can ask: “We are … people with … bags, going to …; what is the total price and where will you drop us?” Say whether you want a vehicle for your group only. Clarify payment, waiting or an extra stop and keep the agreed terms before getting in.

For your airport return, agree the pickup point and time around your airline’s instructions. If unsure when leaving the terminal, ask staff where the signposted taxi departure point is. An old price illustrated below does not replace the fare for your journey.

Earlier fare information

The earlier guide quoted 100 DH by day and 120 DH at night for a small taxi into the city, around 250 DH to the Palmeraie, and a minimum of 7 DH with city journeys of 10 to 25 DH. The validity date of these amounts and the photographs below is unknown. They are retained as archive material and are neither current fares nor a quote.

Sharing or booking a ride

If you want a journey without other passengers, tell the driver before departure and ask about the terms. Also check that the vehicle and luggage space suit your group.
