Austrian Airlines in Marrakech: booking, check-in and baggage

To prepare a trip to Marrakech with an Austrian Airlines ticket, start by rereading the complete itinerary: dates, any stops and the airline operating each segment. The commercial name on the booking is not enough to determine cabin baggage rules. This page brings together useful procedures without assuming that any given flight is direct.

Find and manage your booking

The Manage area brings together booking details, booking changes, seat selection and cancellation or refund requests. Read your ticket conditions before changing dates: the existence of a change tool does not mean every change is free. Also check the flight status before leaving your accommodation in Marrakech, as the operational schedule may differ from the ticket.

Check in and obtain your boarding pass

Austrian states that online check-in normally opens 47 hours before flights departing from or arriving in Vienna. Sign in with your name and booking reference or ticket number. A dedicated login is available for tour operator bookings. You can then select the flight, view available seats, add certain services and save or print your boarding pass. Observe baggage drop deadlines and your departure's document instructions separately.

Distinguish a small bag from a cabin suitcase

On Austrian short- and medium-haul flights, Economy Basic includes a personal item no larger than 40 × 30 × 15 cm. Economy Light, Comfort, Comfort Green and Flex add a cabin suitcase up to 8 kg, limited to 55 × 40 × 23 cm. Status benefits may alter the Basic allowance. For a segment operated by a partner, check its own rules. Keep valuables and essentials accessible if a compliant suitcase ultimately has to travel in the hold because of limited space.

Checked baggage and assistance

The hold allowance depends on the fare, itinerary and loyalty status: your ticket or passenger receipt remains the reference. Austrian gives a standard maximum size of 158 cm, calculated by adding height, width and depth. Do not infer that a suitcase is included with every ticket. For assistance or mobility equipment, contact Austrian in advance; the airline asks you to specify your needs at least 48 hours before departure. The Help and Contact portal helps you find the appropriate contact.

Frequently asked questions

Does an OS reference guarantee Austrian rules on every flight?

No. For hand baggage, the operating airline's conditions apply to each flight, even with an Austrian flight number.

Where can I check the number of included suitcases?

On the ticket or passenger receipt. A journey involving several airlines may follow specific provisions; check the allowance for your complete itinerary.
