VICTORIA SECRETS

Victoria’s Secret is an American brand of lingerie, sleepwear, swimwear, fragrances, and cosmetics. Founded in 1977 by Roy Raymond, who wanted to create a place where men could feel comfortable buying lingerie for their women, the brand was later acquired in 1982 by The Limited, which became Limited Brands, and then L Brands. Victoria’s Secret became famous for its annual fashion shows, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which features professional models in lingerie, accompanied by live music and special performances. The brand is also known for its perfumes, such as Victoria’s Secret Angel, Bombshell, and Tease, as well as its lingerie collections, such as the Very Sexy line. Victoria’s Secret is also present in American airports with its leisure clothing line, Pink. Victoria’s Secret is known for its vision of lingerie as a way for women to feel sexy and confident. The brand highlights tall and athletic professional models in its fashion shows, catalogs, and advertisements, aiming to show that women of all shapes and sizes can be sexy. The brand also uses provocative advertising slogans to promote its products, such as “The Perfect ‘Body'” or “A Body for Every Body.” In terms of style, Victoria’s Secret promotes a feminine and glamorous look, with details such as lace, rhinestones, and glitter. Victoria’s Secret promises the idea of sensual, glamorous, and confident femininity, however, there have been criticisms about the representation of diversity in its advertising campaigns and fashion shows.
